When we walk on the street of tomorrow
Will there still be carcasses around the dark places
Of men who paid the ultimate sacrifices?
Will there still be those butchered bodies
Of innocent children and their pregnant mothers
Lying lifeless everywhere on the street?
When we sail of the future waters
Will there still be those refugees at the other side
Running away from their hostile homes?
Will their still be those emotional wrecks
Marooned on their own island?
When we see the sun of yonder years shinning
Will it leave the darkness of our hearts untouched?
Will it be like the brighter days we all dreamed
Will there ever come a time
When man will safely say the war is over?
Will there come a day
When we can say the battle is done?
Are there really better days ahead?
