You are Clean Through the Word

John 15:3 — “Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.”

There is a kind of cleansing that does not come by effort, emotion, or activity—but by exposure to truth.

Jesus makes it clear:
“You are clean through the word…”

Not by the number of miracles witnessed.
Not by the length of prayers offered.
Not by the days of fasting completed.

But by the Word.

This is not to diminish prayer—far from it. Prayer is powerful. It connects you to God, aligns your heart, expresses your desires, and releases divine intervention into situations. Through prayer, mountains move, burdens lift, and power is made manifest.

But when it comes to inner cleansing—the transformation of the heart, the renewal of the mind, the purification of desires—the Word of God takes center stage.

The Word does what nothing else can do.

It searches deeply.
It confronts quietly.
It corrects precisely.
It restores completely.

Prayer may express your struggle…
But the Word transforms it.

When a man is battling corruption within—bitterness, lust, fear, doubt, anxiety—what he needs is not just intensity in prayer, but consistency in the Word.

Daily intake.
Steady exposure.
Line upon line.
Truth upon truth.

Like medicine administered over time, the Word begins to work beneath the surface. Slowly, but surely, something changes.

Thought patterns begin to shift.
Desires begin to realign.
Addictions begin to lose their grip.

What once felt uncontrollable becomes weakened.
What once dominated becomes optional.

That is the power of the Word at work.

The heart is not cleansed by occasional encounters—it is transformed by continuous renewal.

Corruption festers where the Word is absent.
Darkness thrives where truth is scarce.

When a life is disconnected from the Word, it becomes vulnerable—easily influenced, easily overwhelmed, easily defeated.

You can pray fervently…
You can make resolutions…
You can seek many external solutions…

But if the Word is missing, the foundation remains weak.

Because true victory is not just about outward change—it is about inward renewal.

The Word of God heals deeper than the body—it reaches the heart, the mind, the soul. It does not just fix symptoms; it addresses the root.

So if you desire cleansing—real, lasting, transformative cleansing—
Return to the Word.

Stay in it.
Meditate on it.
Let it dwell in you richly.

For every word spoken by Christ carries the power to purify, to restore, and to make you whole.

And as you remain in it, you will discover this truth firsthand—

You are being made clean.
