One World Weeping

Dennis: "Children suffer in many parts of the world; Gaza, particularly."

To those huddled figures

Draped in cloths—

Young people, perhaps,

Even small children—

Moving through the shadows

And into the darkness of corridors,

My heart follows you.

Impotent, in agony,

My hands reach out to you

Till my fingers are covered with blood.

The world is filled

With soundless weeping.
