Are deeper beyond common sense

Like hounds of a clumsy thicket

Lovers don't need brains to think

Among the fetters of all ages

Emotion is indeed the strongest chain

With which a soul can be tied

Sacrifices we make for love

Are often beyond necessary

Yet we don't understand why

At least if wisdom is too weak to make us foolish

Love will do the job

Touch the king with love

He will let go his crown

Touch a warrior with love

He will surrender his weapons

Touch a coward with love

He will give up his own soul

Love is that burning passion

That consumes all mortal reasoning

With neither warning nor mercy

Things we do for love

Are indeed beyond every common sense
