Quenched Like the Morning Lamp
- October 18, 2017
Like the withering grass of winter
Like the showering mountain dew of dawn
Like a ferry sailing into foreign lands
We are all fading into the Great Unknown
When some are gone
They are quenched like the morning lamp
As the ship leaves no trail on the sea
They are soon out of mind once out of sight
To those who dreamed and dared
Their deeds will be reechoed through the ages
Do not be too scared to dream and dare
Men of big dreams and risks never die
Just as the clustered stars of the night
They live forever for everyone to adore
