Love Grows Love Goes (A Poem about Memory)

- October 04, 2017
Sliding through my packs of pictures
Those covered with the dust of time
My mind went tumbling back over the years
The floodgates of memories unleashed

Some
We laughed and danced
Some
We disguise our malice in dignified distance
Some
I love but hates none

The tempest of life had swept us far apart
We may never meet again

So sadness really don't last
The tears of betrayal are dry already
The hurts are gone
The pains are forgotten

Methinks tragedies too shape us
Making us stronger, at least wiser

Love ∆ grows
Love goes
Love thrives
Love strives
Love heals
Love~kills

Let's just love while we can
Never shy to say it when we care
Friends may part and never meet
None of us will read the testimony on his tombstone
It is that moment of true affection
That truly matters in the treasure room of memory
