It's been long I saw a rainbow in the sky

Could it be that there are no more rivers

In the cloudy meadow of heaven

From which the sheep of God could drink?

It's been long I heard the echoes of my voice

Ringing back to my ears from the hills

Could it be that there are no more angels

To repeat every word from the hinterlands of their hiding?

Once upon a time

A gentle smile perched on your face

But now your brows are clouded in wrinkles

Could it be because the world has grown too hostile?

No more friends, no more home

Or am I the one that has failed to see the changes in time

The thorns that flowered the lawn of Eden

The wickedness embedded in every breathing heart
